The old San Felipe Fiscal Pier, which in some newspapers is said to have been built during the administration of Harmodio Arias in 1935, in others by Colombian engineers in 1902 when Panama belonged to Gran Colombia, and in others it is located, perhaps by mistake, since 1830; was demolished in 2011.
The old pier was a place that I began to photograph approximately since 2009 and that I have continued to document even after its relocation next to the Seafood Market. This series is a reminder of how much a place can change and how important it is to capture those changes.
